Danghangpo Muharebesi, Japonya'nın Kore'yi istilaları (1592-98) sırasında, Kore zaferiyle sonuçlanan bir deniz muharebesidir.

Dangpo Muharebesi'nden sonra Yi Sun-sin sonraki birkaç gününü Japon gemilerini arayarak geçirdi. Daha sonra 12 Temmuz 1592'de Yi Eokgi'nin birliğine katılarak Kore savaş gemilerinin toplam sayısını 51'e çıkardı. Aynı gün I Sunsin, Japon filosunun Danghangpo yakınlarında görüldüğüne dair bir rapor aldı. Bilgiyi doğrulamak için hemen Danghangpo'ya doğru yola çıkıldı. Danghangpo limanına demirlemiş olan 26 Japon gemisi ve bir amiral gemisi gördüler.[1]
Çatışma[değiştir | kaynağı değiştir]
Kore filosu, kapalı körfezde gezinmek için dairesel bir düzen aldı ve sırayla Japonları bombaladı. Bunun Japonları yalnızca iç bölgelere kaçmaya zorlayacağını anlayan I Sunsin, düşmanı şaşırtmak için sahte bir geri çekilme emri verdi. Takibe düşen Japon filosu, onları çevrelenmek için harekete geçti ama başarısız oldular. Birkaç Japon kıyıya kaçmayı ve tepelere sığınmayı başarsa da tüm Japon gemileri imha edildi.[3]

Kore filosu sonraki birkaç günü Japon gemilerini arayarak geçirdi ancak daha fazlasını bulamadı. Zaferin ardından 18 Temmuz'da Kore filosu feshedildi ve her komutan kendi limanlarına döndü.[3]
